2010 Honda Odyssey – Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Guide

Important Notice: To ensure successful programming, have all remote fobs ready before beginning. Although only one remote is needed to enter programming mode, every remote must be programmed during the same session. Each step must be completed within 5 seconds of the previous step.

Programming Instructions:

  • Step 1: Sit inside the vehicle. Confirm that all doors, including the rear hatch, are fully closed.
  • Step 2: Insert the key and turn it to the ON position (Position II – dash lights should illuminate). Within 5 seconds, press and hold the Lock button on the remote for approximately 1 second, then release.
  • Step 3: Turn the key back to the OFF position (Position I – dash lights off).
  • Step 4: Repeat Steps 2 and 3 three more times, for a total of four ON/OFF cycles. Each cycle must be completed within 5 seconds of the previous.
  • Step 5: On the fourth ON cycle, press the Lock button on the remote. The vehicle's locks should emit a clicking or cycling sound, confirming that the system is now in programming mode. The locks will not visibly lock or unlock. Do not turn off the ignition.
  • Step 6: Within 5 seconds of entering programming mode, press the Lock button on each remote you wish to program. Hold the button for about 1 second, then release. Repeat this for each remote, one after another, within a total of 10 seconds. Each successful programming will be confirmed by the locks cycling.
  • Step 7: After programming all remotes, turn the ignition completely OFF, remove the key, exit the vehicle, and close the door.
  • Step 8: Test each remote to confirm that all functions, including lock, unlock, and trunk or hatch release, are working correctly. For trunk or hatch release, press and hold the button for a few seconds to activate.
