Programming Guide for 2010 Mitsubishi Endeavor Keyless Entry Remote Fob (Smart Key)

Important Notice: Follow these detailed instructions to program both the key portion and the remote portion of your remote head key. The process requires a properly cut key and vehicle-specific programming steps.

Program the Key Portion of Your Remote Head Key:

  • Step 1: Ensure the Key is Properly Cut Before starting, make sure the new key is properly cut.
  • Step 2: Insert the First Working Key Insert an existing working key into the ignition cylinder of your vehicle.
  • Step 3: Turn the Ignition to ON Turn the ignition cylinder to the ON position (without cranking the engine) for 5 seconds. Then, return it to the OFF position and remove the key.
  • Step 4: Insert the Second Working Key Within 10 seconds of removing the first key, insert a second working key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position. The security light will flash twice. Then, return the ignition to the OFF position and remove the key.
  • Step 5: Insert the New (Unprogrammed) Key Within 10 seconds, insert the new, unprogrammed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position.
  • Step 6: Program the New Key The security light will illuminate for 3 seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.
  • Step 7: Exit Programming Mode Turn the ignition to OFF and remove the newly programmed key. To program additional keys, repeat Steps 4 through 6 for each new key within 30 seconds of the security light flashing twice.
  • Step 8: End Programming Leave the ignition in the ON position for more than 30 seconds to exit programming mode.

Program the Remote Portion of Your Remote Head Key:

  • Step 1: Locate the Data Port Find the Data Port under the driver’s side dashboard, typically located to the right of the steering column.
  • Step 2: Insert Keys into the Ignition Place the keys into the ignition and leave it in the OFF position.
  • Step 3: Ensure Metal Contact Pins and Connect the Jumper Wire Ensure there are metal contact pins in terminals 1 and 4. Use a suitable jumper wire to connect these terminals, leaving the wire connected throughout the entire programming procedure. Be sure to correctly identify terminals 1 and 4.
  • Step 4: Activate Programming Mode Within 10 seconds of connecting the jumper wire, press the Hazard Switch six times. The doors will automatically lock and unlock once, indicating that the system has entered programming mode.
  • Step 5: Program the Remote Press the LOCK button on the remote you want to program three times within 10 seconds. The doors will lock and unlock once to confirm successful programming.
  • Step 6: Program Additional Remotes To program up to 4 remotes (including any existing remotes), repeat Step 5 within one minute for each remote. After programming each remote, the doors will lock and unlock once to confirm successful registration.
  • Step 7: Test the Remotes Test each remote by pressing the lock/unlock buttons to ensure proper functionality.
  • Step 8: Disconnect the Jumper Wire Once all remotes have been successfully programmed, disconnect the jumper wire from the Data Port.
  • Step 9: Remove the Keys from the Ignition Finally, remove the keys from the ignition to complete the programming process.
