2010 Suzuki Equator Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

Important Notice: All previously stored remote codes will be erased when entering programming mode. Ensure that all remote fobs you plan to use with the vehicle are available before beginning. Remotes not reprogrammed during this session will no longer function.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Close and lock all doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch.
  • Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition, then remove it completely. Repeat this action six times within 10 seconds. The hazard lights will flash to indicate successful entry into programming mode. Note: If performed too quickly or too slowly, the system may not enter programming mode. Try again if needed.
  • Step 3: Insert the key again and turn it to the ACC (Accessory) position.
  • Step 4: Within 5 seconds, press any button on the first remote fob. The hazard lights should flash again to confirm successful registration. Important: Do not press the button more than once during this step.
  • Step 5: To program additional remotes: Press the driver’s side switch to unlock, then lock all doors. Within 5 seconds, press any button on the next remote. The hazard lights will flash to confirm programming. Repeat this process for all additional remotes (up to 4 total).
  • Step 6: Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove it.
  • Step 7: Unlock the doors using the driver’s side power switch, then open the driver’s door to exit programming mode.
