If you do not have two working keys, programming must be performed by a qualified technician using diagnostic tools. Ensure the vehicle is off and that all doors are fully closed before and throughout the procedure. All steps must be completed within 30 seconds. If a step is performed out of sequence, wait at least one minute before starting again. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>Step-by-Step Smart Key Programming Procedure:</b></font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Ensure you are seated in the driver&rsquo;s seat with all doors securely closed and no foot on the brake pedal. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Locate the backup slot, which is found inside the center console utility compartment. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Place the new, unprogrammed Intelligent Access Key into the backup slot with the buttons facing up. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Press the power door unlock button (on the driver or passenger door panel) three times. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Press and release the brake pedal once. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Press the power door lock button (on the driver or passenger door panel) three times.</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 7: Press and release the brake pedal again. The START/STOP button indicator should begin to rapidly flash, confirming that the vehicle has entered programming mode and has detected two valid keys inside.</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 8: Within one minute, press the START/STOP button once. If the key is successfully programmed, a confirmation message will appear on the instrument cluster.
