- Step 2: Insert the Keys into the Ignition Insert the vehicle keys into the ignition and ensure the ignition is in the OFF position.
- Step 3: Verify Metal Contact Pins and Connect the Jumper Wire Confirm that terminals 1 and 4 contain metal contact pins. Use a suitable jumper wire to connect these terminals. Keep the jumper wire connected for the duration of the programming procedure. Be sure to identify which terminals are 1 and 4.

Key Programming (Customer Key Programming):
Important Note: This process allows you to program new keys if you already have two valid, registered keys. This procedure is applicable to vehicles that were not sold in Canada.
- Step 1: Insert the First Programmed Key Insert the first valid key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position for 5 seconds.
- Step 2: Turn the Ignition to the LOCK Position Turn the ignition back to the “LOCK” position and remove the first key.
- Step 3: Insert the Second Programmed Key Within 30 seconds of turning the first key to the “LOCK” position, insert the second valid key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position. The immobilizer indicator on the dashboard will begin blinking after about 10 seconds.
- Step 4: Program the New Key When the immobilizer indicator starts blinking, turn the second key to the “LOCK” position and remove it. Within 30 seconds, insert a blank key (specially cut for your vehicle) into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position. Perform this step within 30 seconds of the immobilizer indicator blinking. When the key registration is successful, the immobilizer indicator will light up for 3 seconds and then turn off. If an error occurs, the indicator will turn off during the process.
- Step 5: Program Additional Keys To program another key, repeat the process starting from Step 1.
