2011 Suzuki Equator Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions
Important Notes: All previous remote codes will be erased once programming begins. Ensure you have all remotes you intend to use before proceeding. Any remotes not reprogrammed during this process will no longer function.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Close and lock all doors using the driver's side power lock/unlock switch.
- Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition and fully remove it. Repeat this action six times within 10 seconds. The hazard lights will flash to confirm programming mode is active. Tip: If the hazard lights do not flash, remove the key completely each time and try again. Timing is crucial.
- Step 3: Insert the key again and turn it to the ACC (Accessory) position.
- Step 4: Within 5 seconds, press any button on the first remote. The hazard lights will flash once more to confirm the remote is registered. Do not press the button more than once during this step, or the attempt may fail.
- Step 5: To program additional remotes: Use the driver’s side switch to unlock then lock all doors. Within 5 seconds, press any button on the next remote. The hazard lights will flash again to confirm the remote is accepted. Repeat for each remaining remote (up to four total).
- Step 6: Turn the ignition key to OFF and remove it from the ignition cylinder.
- Step 7: Unlock the doors using the driver’s power switch and open the driver’s door to exit programming mode.
