2011 Toyota Yaris Keyless Entry Remote Fob

Programming Instructions: These instructions are specifically for programming the remote portion of the Key/Remote combo. Note that if your key includes a transponder chip, it also needs to be cut and programmed separately.

Follow these steps to program the remote:

  • Step 1: Make sure the driver’s door is open and unlocked, and the key is out of the ignition.
  • Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition and remove it twice within 5 seconds.
  • Step 3: Close and then open the driver's door twice within 40 seconds.
  • Step 4: Insert the key into the ignition and then remove it.
  • Step 5: Close and open the driver's door twice within 40 seconds again.
  • Step 6: Insert the key back into the ignition.
  • Step 7: Close the driver’s door.
  • Step 8: To select the programming mode, turn the ignition switch from ""LOCK"" to ""ON"" and back to ""LOCK"": Once for ADD mode (to add a new remote). Twice for REWRITE mode (to delete old remotes and add new).
  • Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition.
  • Step 10: The vehicle’s power locks will cycle from ""lock"" to ""unlock"" according to the number of times you cycled the key in step 8 to confirm the mode selection.
  • Step 11: Within 40 seconds of the locks cycling: Press both the Lock and Unlock buttons on the transmitter simultaneously. Within 3 seconds, press the Lock button on the transmitter for more than 1 second. If the programming is successful, the power locks will cycle once to indicate success. If the locks cycle twice, it indicates an issue with the transmitter. Repeat this step for any additional remotes you wish to program.
  • Step 12: Open the driver's door to exit the programming mode.
