<h1>2012 Acura MDX Remote Fob Programming Instructions (Remote Functions Only)</h1> <p><font size="3"><b>Important:</b> This process programs only the remote control features (lock, unlock, panic). It does not program the ignition or transponder chip. Complete all steps from inside the vehicle with all doors unlocked. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>Step-by-Step Instructions:</b> </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Ensure all doors are unlocked and sit in the driver&rsquo;s seat. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON (II) position&mdash;dashboard lights on, engine off. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Press and release the LOCK button on the remote fob. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Turn the ignition to the OFF (I) position. Leave the key in the ignition. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Turn the ignition back to the ON (II) position. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Press the UNLOCK button on the same remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Turn the ignition back to the OFF (I) position. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Turn the ignition to the ON (II) position again. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 9: Press the LOCK button on the same remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 10: Turn the ignition to the OFF (I) position. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 11: Turn the ignition to the ON (II) position one final time. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 12: Press and release the LOCK button. If done correctly, the door locks will cycle, indicating the vehicle has entered programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 13: Press the LOCK button on every remote you want to program, including the one just used. The locks will cycle after each remote is accepted. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 14: Turn the ignition to the OFF (I) position and remove the key to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 15: Test all remotes to ensure lock and unlock functions work correctly.</font></li> </ul>
