<h1>Programming Guide for 2012 Keyless Entry Remote Fob (Remote Portion Only)</h1> <p><font size="3"><b>Important Notice:</b> This procedure programs the remote functions (lock/unlock) of the flip key. It does not program the ignition or transponder portion of the key. Specialized tools are required for full key programming. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>Programming Procedure:</b> </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Ensure all doors are unlocked before beginning the procedure. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine—just turn the key until the dashboard lights come on). </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Press and release the LOCK button on the remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Turn the ignition back to the LOCK position but leave the key inserted. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Turn the ignition again to the ON position. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Press the UNLOCK button on the same remote and release it. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Turn the ignition back to the LOCK position again and leave the key inserted. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Turn the ignition to the ON position once more. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 9: Press and release the LOCK button on the remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 10: Turn the ignition back to the LOCK position again and leave the key in place. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 11: Turn the ignition to the ON position. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 12: Press and release the LOCK button on the remote one final time. The vehicle's power door locks should cycle (lock and unlock) to confirm that it has entered programming mode.</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 13: Press the LOCK button on each remote you wish to program (including the one used to enter programming mode). After each press, the door locks will cycle to confirm the remote has been successfully programmed. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 14: Once all remotes are programmed, turn the key back to the LOCK position and remove it from the ignition. This will exit programming mode.</font></li> </ul>
