Programming Guide for 2013 Audi S7 Keyless Entry Smart Key Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2013 Audi S7 does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming must be performed by a qualified automotive technician using specialized diagnostic tools compatible with Audi systems.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Schedule service with a certified technician or an authorized Audi service provider who has the proper diagnostic equipment for smart key programming.
- Step 2: If your vehicle is drivable, consider taking it directly to the service location. This is typically more cost-effective than requesting mobile service.
- Step 3: Bring all existing and new smart key remotes to the appointment. Any remotes not present during programming may be erased from the system and will no longer function.
- Step 4: The technician will connect Audi-approved diagnostic tools to the vehicle’s OBD-II port to access the key registration system.
- Step 5: Using the diagnostic interface, the technician will initiate the smart key programming process, pairing each remote to the vehicle’s electronic security and ignition systems.
- Step 6: Each key fob will be tested to confirm proper operation of locking/unlocking, trunk access, and push-button start functions.
- Step 7: If a remote fails to function as expected, the technician will perform troubleshooting and repeat the registration process as needed.
- Step 8: Once all remotes are successfully programmed and verified, the vehicle will exit programming mode, completing the process.
