2013 Buick Enclave Keyless Entry Remote Fob (Smart Key)

Important Notice: The 2013 Buick Enclave does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming requires specialized diagnostic tools and must be performed by a trained technician using vehicle-specific software.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Ensure the vehicle is in Park and the ignition is turned Off. All doors should remain closed throughout the process.
  • Step 2: Gather all smart key remotes you want programmed. Any remotes not present during the session may be erased from the system.
  • Step 3: A professional technician will connect a diagnostic scan tool to the vehicle’s OBD-II port, typically located beneath the dashboard near the driver's side footwell.
  • Step 4: The technician will access the vehicle’s keyless entry and immobilizer module through the scan tool interface.
  • Step 5: The system will prompt for security authentication, which the technician will complete using a secure PIN or access method.
  • Step 6: The new remote will be placed in the vehicle’s programming slot—usually located inside the center console or beneath a trim panel—if required.
  • Step 7: The scan tool will initialize the programming sequence, and the remote will be registered to the vehicle.
  • Step 8: The vehicle may flash the lights, sound a chime, or cycle the door locks to confirm that the remote has been successfully programmed.
  • Step 9: Additional remotes can be programmed during the same session by repeating the necessary steps.
  • Step 10: Once all remotes are programmed, the technician will exit the programming mode and disconnect the equipment.
  • Step 11: Test each remote to ensure full functionality, including lock, unlock, panic alarm, and remote start (if equipped).
