2014 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Programming with an Existing Programmed Key: Use this method when at least one working key is already programmed to the vehicle.
- Step 1: Insert the working key into the ignition cylinder.
- Step 2: Turn the key to the ON/RUN position and wait a few seconds.
- Step 3: Turn the key back to the LOCK/OFF position and remove it.
- Step 4: Within five seconds, insert the new key you wish to program into the ignition.
- Step 5: Turn the new key to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 6: Watch for the security indicator light to turn off. This confirms the new key has been programmed successfully.
- Step 7: To program additional keys, repeat Steps 1 through 6 for each one.
- Step 8: After programming all keys, test each one to ensure it can start the engine and operate vehicle functions properly.
Programming Without Any Recognized Key: If no working keys are available, use this method to program the first new key. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. This procedure is only available in certain regions. Some regulations may require programming to be completed by a professional technician.
- Step 1: Insert the new key into the ignition.
- Step 2: Turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The security light should illuminate.
- Step 3: Wait approximately 10 minutes for the security light to turn off.
- Step 4: Turn the key to the LOCK/OFF position and leave it there briefly.
- Step 5: Repeat Steps 2 through 4 two more times. Each cycle will take about 10 minutes.
- Step 6: After the third cycle, turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The system will now recognize and program the key.
- Step 7: Once programmed, any previously stored keys will be erased.
- Step 8: Additional keys can now be programmed by following the steps listed in the section “Programming with an Existing Programmed Key.”
Additional Notes:
Be sure to have all keys you intend to use with the vehicle available during programming. Once a new key is learned using this process, any old keys not present will no longer be operational. Always test newly programmed keys to verify that starting and remote functions work properly.
