2015 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Programming with an Existing Programmed Key: Use this method when you already have at least one working key programmed to the vehicle.
- Step 1: Insert the existing, programmed key into the ignition cylinder.
- Step 2: Turn the key to the ON/RUN position and pause for a moment.
- Step 3: Turn the key back to the LOCK/OFF position and remove it.
- Step 4: Within five seconds, insert the new key you want to program.
- Step 5: Turn the new key to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 6: Wait until the security light on the instrument panel turns off. This indicates that the new key has been successfully programmed.
- Step 7: If additional keys need to be programmed, repeat Steps 1 through 6 for each key.
- Step 8: After programming is complete, test each key to confirm that it can start the vehicle and operate the remote functions.
Programming Without a Working Key: If no programmed keys are currently available, follow this procedure to add the first key. The full process takes about 30 minutes and must be completed without interruption. In some regions, this procedure may not be supported and may require technician assistance.
- Step 1: Insert the new key into the ignition cylinder.
- Step 2: Turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The security light should turn on.
- Step 3: Leave the key in the ON/RUN position for approximately 10 minutes, until the security light turns off.
- Step 4: Turn the key back to the LOCK/OFF position and wait a few seconds.
- Step 5: Repeat Steps 2 through 4 two more times. Each cycle should take about 10 minutes.
- Step 6: After completing the third cycle, turn the key back to the ON/RUN position once more. The system will recognize and store the key.
- Step 7: At this point, any previously programmed keys will no longer be valid.
- Step 8: Additional keys can now be added using the steps listed in the “Programming with an Existing Programmed Key” section.
Additional Notes:
Make sure all keys you want to keep active are programmed during the session. After a key is learned, confirm that it starts the vehicle and activates the remote functions. If the programming process is interrupted, restart from the beginning to ensure proper key recognition.
