Programming requires the use of factory-grade diagnostic tools and must be performed by a qualified automotive professional. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>Programming Procedure If You Have a Separate Key and Remote:</b> </font></p> <p><font size="3">This vehicle configuration cannot be programmed manually. A professional must complete the procedure. </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Schedule service with a certified technician who can program the remote fob using specialized equipment.</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 2: If your vehicle is mobile, consider visiting the technician’s location instead of requesting mobile service to save on costs. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: The technician will connect to the vehicle’s onboard computer to program the remote securely. </font></li> </ul> <p><font size="3"><b>If You Have One Working Smart Key:</b> </font></p> <p><font size="3">You can add an additional remote using the following procedure: </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Remove the key from the existing remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Place the programmed remote in the front cupholder or passenger seat.</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 3: Insert the vehicle key into the driver’s door lock and turn it counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC should display "READY FOR REMOTE #2" or similar. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Open the center console and place the new remote in the remote pocket (next to the console storage area).</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 5: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC will confirm the remote has been learned. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Remove the remote and press the LOCK or UNLOCK button to confirm. Repeat Steps 4–6 for additional remotes. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Reinsert the key into the remote. </font></li> </ul> <p><font size="3"><b>If You Have No Recognized Smart Keys:</b> </font></p> <p><font size="3">This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and allows you to program up to eight remotes. </font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3">Step 1: Remove the key from the remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Insert the key into the driver’s door lock and turn it counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds.
