<h1>2015 Lincoln MKS Intelligent Access Key (Smart Key with Push-Button Start)</h1> <p><font size="3"><b>Important Notes:</b> You may program up to four Intelligent Access Keys for your 2015 Lincoln MKS. This procedure requires two existing programmed smart keys inside the vehicle, as well as the new unprogrammed key. If you do not have two working keys, the key must be programmed by a qualified technician using specialized equipment. Ensure the vehicle is off, and all doors remain closed throughout the process. Perform all steps within 30 seconds. If any step is performed incorrectly or out of sequence, wait at least one minute before starting again. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><b>Step-by-Step Smart Key Programming Procedure:</b></font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3"> Step 1: Place the first programmed Intelligent Access Key in the backup slot located beneath the glovebox door. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Press the START/STOP button (do not press the brake pedal). </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Wait five seconds, then press the START/STOP button again to turn the ignition off. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Remove the first key from the backup slot. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Within 10 seconds, place the second programmed Intelligent Access Key into the backup slot and press the START/STOP button. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Wait five seconds, then press the START/STOP button again. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Remove the second key from the slot. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Place the new, unprogrammed Intelligent Access Key into the backup slot and press the START/STOP button once. If successful, the key will be recognized and added to the vehicle's memory. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 9: Test the new key to ensure it can: Start the vehicle using the push-button ignition Lock and unlock the doors using the remote functions If programming fails, remove the key, wait 10 seconds, and repeat Steps 1 through 9.</font></li> </ul>
