Important Notice: This vehicle does not support onboard programming for keyless entry remote fobs. Programming requires specialized diagnostic equipment and must be performed by a qualified technician. Programming Procedure

  • Step 1: Locate a Qualified Professional Find a certified automotive technician or service provider who has the necessary equipment to program the smart key remote fob for your vehicle.
  • Step 2: Consider Cost-Effective Options If your vehicle is still drivable, driving it to the technician’s location may save you money compared to requesting mobile service, as traveling to a service center is often more economical.
  • Step 3: Prepare All Key Fobs Before proceeding, ensure you have all current key fobs, including the one you wish to program. Some systems may require all existing fobs to be present during the programming process.
  • Step 4: Provide Proof of Ownership The technician may ask for proof of ownership of the vehicle. Have your vehicle registration or title ready, as it is often required to complete the programming procedure.
  • Step 5: Connect to the Vehicle’s System The technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to your vehicle. This equipment is used to securely access your vehicle's system and program the smart key remote fob.
  • Step 6: Programming the Smart Key Remote Fob Using the diagnostic equipment, the technician will initiate the key programming procedure. The new remote fob will be paired with your vehicle’s security system to ensure it functions properly.
  • Step 7: Testing the Programmed Fob Once the programming process is complete, the technician will test the remote fob to ensure it is working correctly with your vehicle, including testing the remote keyless entry and starting system.
  • Step 8: Program Additional Fobs (If Needed) If you need more than one fob programmed, the technician will repeat the programming process for each additional fob. All fobs should be programmed during the same session to ensure they are synchronized with the vehicle’s system.
  • Step 9: Exit Programming Mode Once the programming is complete and all key fobs are tested, the technician will exit programming mode and return the vehicle to its normal operational state.
  • Step 10: Retrieve Your Vehicle and Key Fobs Once all the programming is finished and verified, retrieve your vehicle along with the newly programmed remote fobs. Make sure to test all the fobs to ensure they function properly before leaving.
