Programming Guide for 2017 Audi S7 Keyless Entry Smart Key Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2017 Audi S7 does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming must be performed by a qualified automotive technician using Audi-specific diagnostic tools.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Contact a certified technician or an authorized Audi service provider who is equipped with factory-grade diagnostic equipment to handle smart key programming.
- Step 2: If your vehicle is drivable, transporting it to the service location is usually more cost-effective than requesting mobile assistance.
- Step 3: Bring all remote fobs—both new and existing—to the appointment. Remotes not present during the session may be erased from the system and will need reprogramming.
- Step 4: The technician will connect Audi-compatible diagnostic tools to the vehicle’s OBD-II port and access the vehicle’s electronic key management system.
- Step 5: Using the diagnostic interface, the technician will initiate the remote registration process, pairing each smart key fob with the vehicle’s ignition, locking, and security systems.
- Step 6: Each fob will be tested to ensure full functionality, including lock/unlock, trunk access, and push-to-start features.
- Step 7: If any fob fails to respond properly, the technician will diagnose the issue and repeat the process to ensure successful programming.
- Step 8: After all fobs are paired and verified, the technician will exit the programming mode, completing the procedure.
