2017 Buick Cascada Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2017 Buick Cascada allows two programming methods depending on whether you have two programmed keys. If two programmed keys are not available, you can still program the first key using a specific procedure.
Programming with Two Programmed Keys: To program a new key when two programmed keys are available:
- Step 1: Insert the original, already programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 2: Turn the key to the LOCK/OFF position and remove it from the ignition.
- Step 3: Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second original programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 4: Insert the new key to be programmed and turn it to the ON/RUN position within five seconds. The security light will turn off once the key is successfully programmed.
- Step 5: To program additional keys, repeat Steps 1-5.
Programming Without Two Programmed Keys: If no programmed keys are available, follow this procedure to program the first key.
Note: Canadian regulations require owners to visit their dealer. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and requires that all keys to be programmed be available during the process.
- Step 1: Insert the new key into the ignition.
- Step 2: Turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The security light will illuminate.
- Step 3: Wait for 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
- Step 4: Turn the ignition to the LOCK/OFF position.
- Step 5: Repeat Steps 2–4 two more times. After the third time, turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The key is now successfully programmed, and all previously programmed keys will no longer work with the vehicle.
- Step 6: To program the second key, turn the ignition to the OFF position, insert the second key, and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 7: After both keys are programmed, any remaining keys can be programmed by following the procedure outlined in “Programming with Two Programmed Keys”.
