2017 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob – Envision

Programming with Two Recognized Transmitters: This method allows you to add a new remote when two existing transmitters are already programmed to the vehicle.

  • Step 1: Make sure the vehicle is turned off and securely parked.
  • Step 2: Place both recognized transmitters in the front cupholder inside the vehicle.
  • Step 3: Locate and remove the cap covering the key lock cylinder on the driver’s side door.
  • Step 4: Insert the emergency key from the new transmitter into the door lock.
  • Step 5: Turn the key to the unlock position (counterclockwise) five times within 10 seconds.
  • Step 6: The Driver Information Center (DIC) should display: “READY FOR REMOTE #2,” “#3,” “#4,” or “#5.”
  • Step 7: Place the new transmitter into the front cupholder.
  • Step 8: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button once.
  • Step 9: Wait for the DIC to confirm the transmitter has been successfully programmed.
  • Step 10: Remove the transmitter and press the UNLOCK button to finalize pairing.
  • Step 11: To add more transmitters, repeat Steps 7 through 10.
  • Step 12: When all programming is complete, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

Programming Without Two Recognized Transmitters: If no previously recognized remotes are available, use this method to program up to eight new transmitters. This process will take approximately 30 minutes. This procedure may not be available in all regions.

  • Step 1: Insert the emergency key into the driver’s side door lock cylinder.
  • Step 2: Turn the key to the unlock position (counterclockwise) five times within 10 seconds.
  • Step 3: The DIC will display: “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”
  • Step 4: Wait for approximately 10 minutes without interacting with the vehicle.
  • Step 5: When prompted, press the ENGINE START/STOP button once.
  • Step 6: The DIC will return to “REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.”
  • Step 7: Repeat Steps 4 through 6 two more times, completing three total 10-minute cycles.
  • Step 8: After the third cycle, the DIC should display: “READY FOR REMOTE #1.”
  • Step 9: Place the first new transmitter into the front cupholder.
  • Step 10: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button once.
  • Step 11: Wait for confirmation that the remote has been learned.
  • Step 12: Remove the transmitter and press UNLOCK to finalize programming.
  • Step 13: Repeat Steps 9 through 12 for each additional remote.
  • Step 14: After all remotes are added, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
