Importance: Programming your 2017 Cadillac XTS keyless entry remote fob ensures your new transmitter works seamlessly with your vehicle’s security and ignition systems. This procedure is necessary when replacing lost remotes or adding additional ones for other drivers. Programming with Two Recognized Transmitters:

- Step 4: Place the new transmitter in the transmitter pocket located inside the center console storage area between the front seats. Lift the storage tray to access the pocket.
- Step 5: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. When the remote is successfully programmed, the DIC will confirm readiness for the next transmitter.
- Step 6: Remove the transmitter from the pocket and press the lock or unlock button on the fob. To program additional remotes, repeat Steps 4 through 6 for each transmitter.
- Step 7: When all transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

- Step 3: Repeat Step 2 two more times for a total of three cycles (approximately 30 minutes). After the third cycle, the DIC will display “READY FOR REMOTE #1.” At this point, all previous remotes are erased.

- Step 5: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC will confirm when the transmitter is learned.
