<h1>2018 GMC Yukon Denali Keyless Entry Remote Fob (Smart Key)</h1> <p><font size="3"><b> Important Notice:</b> The 2018 GMC Yukon Denali does not support onboard programming for smart key fobs if the vehicle uses a separate key and remote. In such cases, remote programming must be performed using dedicated diagnostic equipment. </font></p> <p><b><font size="3">Programming with Two Recognized Smart Keys</font></b></p> <p><font size="3"> If your vehicle already has two working smart key remotes, you can add a new one by following these steps:</font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3"> Step 1: Remove the emergency key blade from one of the programmed remotes.</font></li> <li><font size="3"> Step 2: Place both programmed remotes in the passenger seat or cupholder. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Insert the emergency key into the driver-side door lock. Turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display: READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, ETC. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Place the new remote in the transmitter pocket/insert, located inside the center console storage area beneath the tray. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. Once the remote is learned, the DIC will confirm readiness for the next remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Remove the newly programmed remote from the pocket and press LOCK or UNLOCK to finalize. Repeat Steps 4–6 for each additional remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: When finished, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Reinsert the emergency key blade back into the remote. </font></li> </ul> <p><b><font size="3">Programming Without Any Recognized Smart Key</font></b></p> <p><font size="3"> If no remotes are currently programmed to the vehicle, use the following procedure. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and allows you to program up to eight remotes.</font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3"> Step 1: Remove the emergency key from the new remote. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 2: Insert the key into the driver’s door lock and turn it to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The DIC will display: REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 3: Wait 10 minutes. The DIC will then prompt: PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN. Press the button, and the display will return to REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 4: Repeat Step 3 two more times (for a total of 30 minutes). After the third cycle, the DIC will display: READY FOR REMOTE #1. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 5: Place the new remote in the transmitter pocket/insert in the center console. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 6: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC will indicate when the remote is successfully learned. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 7: Remove the remote and press LOCK or UNLOCK to complete the programming. Repeat Steps 5–7 for any additional remotes. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 8: Once all remotes have been programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode. </font></li> <li><font size="3">Step 9: Reinsert the emergency key into the remote housing.</font></li> </ul>
