2019 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: This vehicle does not support onboard programming. Programming of the smart key remote fob requires specialized diagnostic tools and must be performed by a certified automotive technician or an authorized dealer.
- Step 1: Determine whether you are replacing a lost key fob or adding a new one. Some systems may require all remotes to be programmed during the same session for full functionality.
- Step 2: Schedule an appointment with a certified automotive technician or authorized dealer who has the proper diagnostic tools to perform the smart key programming.
- Step 3: Bring all existing key fobs with you to the appointment. Any fobs not present during the programming session may be excluded from the system and will no longer function.
- Step 4: If the vehicle is operational, consider driving it to the technician’s location, which is often more affordable than having the technician come to you.
- Step 5: If no working remotes are available, be prepared to provide proof of ownership, such as your vehicle registration or title, before programming can begin.
- Step 6: The technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to your vehicle’s system to securely program and integrate the new smart key fob.
- Step 7: After programming, the technician will verify that the new key fob works by testing essential functions like locking, unlocking, and starting the vehicle.
- Step 8: Test all other key fob functions, such as remote start, panic button, and trunk release, to ensure they work correctly.
- Step 9: If programming additional remotes, repeat the process for each one within 30 seconds of completing the previous programming.
- Step 10: Once all remotes are confirmed to be functioning properly, finalize the process and ensure all programmed fobs are integrated into the vehicle’s system.
