2019 Buick Cascada Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2019 Buick Cascada supports two programming methods: one when you have two programmed keys, and the other when no programmed keys are available. Please follow the appropriate procedure based on your situation.
Programming with Two Programmed Keys: To program a new key using two already programmed keys:
- Step 1: Insert the original, already programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 2: Turn the key to the LOCK/OFF position and remove the key from the ignition.
- Step 3: Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second original programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 4: Insert the new key to be programmed into the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position within five seconds. The security light will turn off once the key is successfully programmed.
- Step 5: To program additional keys, repeat Steps 1-4 within 30 seconds.
- Step 6: Once all keys have been programmed, turn the ignition to OFF and remove the key.
- Step 7: Test each programmed key to ensure that all features, such as lock/unlock, ignition, and remote access, are working properly.
Programming Without Two Programmed Keys: If no programmed keys are available, follow this procedure to program the first key.
Note: In Canada, you must visit a dealer for this process. This procedure will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and requires that all keys you wish to program be with you.
- Step 8: Insert the new key into the ignition.
- Step 9: Turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The security light will illuminate.
- Step 10: Wait for 10 minutes until the security light turns off.
- Step 11: Turn the ignition to the LOCK/OFF position.
- Step 12: Repeat Steps 9-11 two more times. After the third cycle, turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The key will be successfully programmed, and all previously programmed keys will no longer work with the vehicle.
- Step 13: To program the second key, turn the ignition to OFF, insert the second key, and turn it to the ON/RUN position.
- Step 14: After both keys are programmed, any additional keys can be programmed by following the process in “Programming with Two Programmed Keys”.
- Step 15: Test all programmed keys to verify that they operate the vehicle's functions, such as lock/unlock, ignition, and remote access.
