Important Notice: This vehicle does not support onboard programming for keyless entry remote fobs. Programming requires specialized diagnostic equipment and must be performed by a qualified technician. Programming Procedure
- Step 1: Locate a Qualified Professional Find a certified automotive technician or service provider who is equipped to program the smart key remote fobs for your vehicle.
- Step 2: Consider Cost-Effective Options If your vehicle is still drivable, consider driving it to the technician’s location. This may save you money compared to having a technician come to your location.
- Step 3: Prepare All Key Fobs Ensure that all current and new key fobs are ready for programming. Some vehicles may require all fobs to be present during the programming process.
- Step 4: Provide Proof of Ownership The technician may ask for proof of ownership, such as the vehicle registration or title, to confirm that you are authorized to program the keyless entry fobs.
- Step 5: Connect to the Vehicle’s System The technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to your vehicle’s system. This equipment allows them to access the vehicle's system and begin the programming process.
- Step 6: Programming the Smart Key Remote Fob The technician will use the diagnostic tools to program the new remote fob, syncing it with your vehicle’s security system to ensure proper functionality.
- Step 7: Test the Programmed Fob Once the programming is complete, the technician will test the remote fob to ensure it works correctly with the vehicle, including testing the keyless entry and remote start functions.
- Step 8: Program Additional Fobs (If Needed) If additional fobs need to be programmed, the technician will repeat the process for each one. It is important to program all fobs at the same time to ensure they are synchronized with the vehicle’s system.
- Step 9: Exit Programming Mode After the programming is complete and all fobs have been successfully tested, the technician will exit the programming mode and reset the vehicle’s system to its normal operating state.
- Step 10: Retrieve Your Vehicle and Key Fobs After the programming is complete, retrieve your vehicle and the newly programmed remote fobs. Test all fobs to ensure they are functioning properly before leaving the service provider.
