<h1>2020 GMC Acadia – Programming Smart Key Remotes</h1> System Type: Intelligent Access Smart Key Programming Option 1: With Two Recognized Remotes <ul> <li>Step 1: Power off the ignition. </li> <li>Step 2: Place both known remotes in the cup holder. </li> <li>Step 3: Remove the keyhole cap from the exterior driver-side door handle. </li> <li>Step 4: Use the backup key from the new fob to turn the lock to unlock five times. </li> <li>Step 5: Wait for “READY FOR REMOTE” to appear. </li> <li>Step 6: Insert the new remote into the console’s transmitter pocket under the liner. </li> <li>Step 7: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. </li> <li>Step 8: When confirmed, remove the fob and press LOCK or UNLOCK. </li> <li>Step 9: Repeat for any other remotes. </li> <li>Step 10: Hold the START button for 12 seconds to exit programming mode. </li> <li>Step 11: Reinsert the key into the fob when done. </li> </ul> Programming Option 2: If No Remotes Are Available <ul> <li>Step 1: Manually unlock the driver door five times using the mechanical key. </li> <li>Step 2: Wait for “REMOTE LEARN PENDING” to appear. </li> <li>Step 3: Wait 10 minutes, then press the start button. </li> <li>Step 4: Repeat the 10-minute wait and press cycle two more times. </li> <li>Step 5: Insert the remote into the transmitter pocket and press START. </li> <li>Step 6: Remove the remote and press LOCK or UNLOCK. </li> <li>Step 7: Repeat for other remotes. </li> <li>Step 8: Hold the start button for 12 seconds to end programming.</li> </ul>
