Programming Guide for 2022 Audi S6 Keyless Entry Smart Key Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2022 Audi S6 does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming requires the use of Audi-approved diagnostic equipment and must be completed by a qualified automotive professional.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Arrange service with a certified technician or authorized Audi service provider who has experience with smart key systems and access to Audi-compatible diagnostic tools.
- Step 2: If your vehicle is operational, driving it to the service facility may be more cost-effective than scheduling a mobile visit.
- Step 3: Ensure all smart key fobs—both existing and new—are brought to the session. Any fob not present may be erased from the system during reprogramming.
- Step 4: The technician will connect professional-grade diagnostic equipment to the vehicle's OBD-II port to access the immobilizer and keyless entry modules.
- Step 5: Using the diagnostic interface, the technician will start the key registration process and program each remote to the vehicle’s security and ignition systems.
- Step 6: Once registered, the technician will test each remote to verify full functionality—lock/unlock, trunk access, and push-button start.
- Step 7: If a fob fails to operate correctly, the technician will perform necessary diagnostics and repeat the programming process to ensure successful pairing.
- Step 8: When all remotes are programmed and verified, the technician will exit the programming mode and confirm that the system is functioning normally.
