• Step 3: Bring all existing key fobs with you to the appointment. Any remotes not present during programming may be excluded from the system and will no longer function.
• Step 4: If your vehicle is operational, consider driving it to the technician’s location, which may be more affordable than having them come to you for mobile service.
• Step 5: If no working remotes are available, be ready to provide proof of ownership, such as your vehicle registration or title, before programming can begin.
• Step 6: The technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to your vehicle’s system to securely program and pair the new smart key fob with the vehicle.
• Step 7: After programming, the technician will test the new key fob to ensure it locks, unlocks, and starts the vehicle as intended.
• Step 8: Once programming is complete, personally test all key fob functions—including trunk release, panic button, and remote start (if applicable)—to confirm proper operation.
