Programming Guide for 2022 Cadillac CT4 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: The 2022 Cadillac CT4 supports up to eight remote keys. If you currently have two recognized remotes, you can program additional keys using the onboard system. If you do not have two working remotes, onboard programming is not available, and a professional technician is required to complete the process.
Programming with Two Recognized Remote Keys: Use this method when two working remotes are available.
- Step 1: Turn the ignition to the RUN position (vehicle must be on, but engine off).
- Step 2: Place the two recognized remote keys on the front passenger seat.
- Step 3: In the Driver Information Center (DIC), scroll to and select “Remote Key Relearn.” The DIC will display “READY FOR REMOTE #3, 4, 5,” etc.
- Step 4: Insert the new remote key into the rear cupholder.
- Step 5: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC will confirm the new remote has been successfully programmed.
- Step 6: Remove the newly programmed remote from the cupholder and press either the LOCK or UNLOCK button to test functionality.
- Step 7: To program more remotes, repeat Steps 4–6.
- Step 8: When programming is complete, press and hold ENGINE START/STOP for about 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
Programming without Recognized Remote Keys: This process cannot be completed without two functional remotes using onboard methods. In this case, remote key programming must be performed by a qualified technician using specialized diagnostic tools. All remote keys must be present during programming. The system will erase previous keys during the procedure and register the new ones.
