2022 Volkswagen Tiguan – Smart Key Remote Fob Programming Instructions

Important Notice: The 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. A new fob must be programmed using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools by a qualified automotive technician or authorized dealership.

• Step 1: Ensure the replacement smart key remote fob is compatible with the 2022 Tiguan. Using an incorrect fob may result in failed programming or limited functionality.

• Step 3: Ask if all currently functioning remotes must be present during programming. On some systems, any remotes not included in the session may be erased from the vehicle's memory.
