Programming Guide for 2023 Audi S6 Keyless Entry Smart Key Remote Fob

Important Notice: The 2023 Audi S6 does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming requires professional-grade Audi diagnostic equipment and must be carried out by a qualified automotive technician.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Schedule an appointment with a certified technician or authorized Audi service provider who has access to the latest Audi diagnostic tools for key programming.
  • Step 2: If your vehicle is operable, driving it to the service facility is generally more cost-effective than requesting a technician to come to your location.
  • Step 3: Ensure all remote fobs—both current and new—are brought to the appointment. Any remotes not present may be removed from the vehicle's system during the programming session.
  • Step 4: The technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to the vehicle’s OBD-II port to access the control modules responsible for key registration and vehicle access.
  • Step 5: Using the diagnostic interface, the technician will initiate the smart key registration process, linking each fob to the vehicle’s locking, ignition, and security systems.
  • Step 6: Each smart key fob will be tested to ensure full functionality, including lock/unlock, trunk release, and push-button engine start.
  • Step 7: If any issues arise, the technician will perform diagnostics and repeat the process to ensure all keys are properly programmed and operational.
  • Step 8: Once all key fobs have been successfully registered and tested, the technician will exit programming mode and confirm full system functionality.
