Important Notice: The 2023 BMW 2 Series does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming must be performed by a certified automotive technician or authorized dealer using specialized diagnostic equipment.

Programming Procedure:

• Step 1: Confirm that the replacement smart key fob is specifically compatible with the 2023 BMW 2 Series. An incorrect fob may not pair with the vehicle’s systems or may offer limited functionality.

• Step 3: Ask whether all existing remotes must be reprogrammed at the same time. Some BMW systems will deactivate any remote not present during the programming session.

• Step 5: At the service site, the technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to the vehicle’s OBD-II port and initiate the programming process.
