2023 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: This vehicle does not support onboard programming. Programming the smart key fob requires specialized diagnostic tools and must be performed by a qualified automotive technician or authorized dealer.
- Step 1: Determine whether you are replacing a lost key fob or adding a new one. Some systems may require all remotes to be programmed together during the same session to ensure proper functionality.
- Step 2: Schedule an appointment with a certified technician or authorized dealer who has the appropriate diagnostic tools for smart key fob programming.
- Step 3: Bring all working remotes with you. Remotes not present during programming may be excluded from the system and become inactive.
- Step 4: If your vehicle is operational, driving it to the technician’s location is often more cost-effective than having mobile service.
- Step 5: If no functioning remotes are available, be prepared to provide proof of ownership—such as your vehicle registration or title—before the technician can proceed with programming.
- Step 6: The technician will connect specialized computer equipment to your vehicle’s system to securely program and activate the new smart key fob.
- Step 7: After programming, the technician will test all key fob functions—including lock, unlock, remote start, and trunk release—to confirm proper operation.
- Step 8: Once the technician confirms proper functionality, you should also test the key fob to ensure it works as expected, including proximity unlocking and keyless entry.
