• Step 3: Bring all existing key fobs with you to the appointment. Remotes that are not present during programming may be excluded from the system and will no longer function.
• Step 4: If the vehicle is operational, driving it to the technician’s location may reduce service costs compared to requesting mobile service.
• Step 5: If no working remotes are available, be ready to provide proof of ownership—such as your vehicle registration or title—before programming can begin.
• Step 6: The technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to your vehicle’s system to securely program and integrate the new smart key fob.
• Step 7: After programming, the technician will verify that the new fob successfully locks, unlocks, and starts the vehicle.
• Step 8: Test all other key fob functions, such as the panic alarm, trunk release, and remote start, to ensure everything is working properly.
