<h1>2023 GMC Acadia – Remote Fob Programming Instructions</h1> System Type: Intelligent Access Smart Key Programming Option 1: Setup Using Two Programmed Remotes <ul> <li>Step 1: Ensure the ignition is turned off. </li> <li>Step 2: Place both working remotes into the front cup holders. </li> <li>Step 3: Remove the cover from the driver door’s external lock cylinder. </li> <li>Step 4: Using the backup key from the new fob, unlock the door five times quickly. </li> <li>Step 5: Look for “READY FOR REMOTE” on the Driver Information Center. </li> <li>Step 6: Lift the liner in the center console and insert the new remote into the transmitter pocket underneath. </li> <li>Step 7: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. </li> <li>Step 8: Once the system accepts the remote, remove it and press LOCK or UNLOCK. </li> <li>Step 9: Repeat Steps 6–8 for any additional remotes. </li> <li>Step 10: Hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming. </li> <li>Step 11: Reinsert the mechanical key into the remote shell. </li> </ul> Programming Option 2: When No Remotes Are Available <ul> <li>Step 1: Use the mechanical key to unlock the driver’s door five times within 10 seconds. </li> <li>Step 2: Wait for “REMOTE LEARN PENDING” to appear, then for the prompt to press the start button. </li> <li>Step 3: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button when prompted. </li> <li>Step 4: Repeat this cycle two more times (three 10-minute intervals total). </li> <li>Step 5: After the third cycle, insert the new remote into the transmitter pocket and press the start button. </li> <li>Step 6: Remove the remote and press any button. </li> <li>Step 7: Repeat for each additional fob.</li> <li>Step 8: Press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 12 seconds to exit programming. </li> <li>Step 9: Return the mechanical key to the remote.</li> </ul>
