Important Notice: The 2024 BMW 3 Series does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming must be completed using BMW-certified diagnostic tools by a qualified automotive technician or authorized dealer.

• Step 1: Confirm that the replacement smart key fob is specifically designed for the 2024 BMW 3 Series. Incompatible remotes will not communicate properly with the vehicle.
• Step 2: Schedule service with a certified technician or authorized BMW dealership equipped with the correct diagnostic software and tools to perform key fob programming.
• Step 3: Ask whether any previously programmed remotes must be present during the session. Some BMW systems require all fobs to be reprogrammed together, and any omitted may be removed from the system.
• Step 4: If your vehicle is operational, consider driving it to the service provider’s location to avoid additional costs that may come with mobile service.
• Step 5: At the service location, the technician will connect the diagnostic tool to the vehicle’s onboard diagnostic port to access the key programming interface.
