2024 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob

Important Notice: This vehicle is not equipped for onboard programming. Programming the smart key fob requires specialized diagnostic tools and must be done by a certified automotive technician or authorized dealer.

  • Step 1: Determine whether you are replacing a lost key fob or adding a new one. Some systems may require all remotes to be reprogrammed during the same session.
  • Step 2: Understand that this vehicle does not support onboard programming. Specialized diagnostic tools are needed to properly program the keyless entry system.
  • Step 3: Schedule an appointment with a certified technician or authorized dealer who has the necessary diagnostic equipment to program your smart key fob.
  • Step 4: Bring all working key fobs to the appointment. Any fobs not present during programming may be excluded from the system and stop functioning.
  • Step 5: If your vehicle is operational, it may be more cost-effective to drive it to the technician’s location rather than having them come to you for mobile service.
  • Step 6: If no functional remotes are available, be prepared to provide proof of ownership, such as a vehicle registration or title, before programming can begin.
  • Step 7: The technician will connect specialized computer equipment to your vehicle’s system to begin the key fob programming process securely.
  • Step 8: After programming the new fob, the technician will confirm that the key fob is integrated into the vehicle’s electronic system and is functioning properly.
  • Step 9: Once programming is complete, the technician will test all fob functions, such as lock/unlock, engine start, remote start, and trunk release, to ensure they work as expected.
  • Step 10: After the technician has verified proper functionality, test the fob yourself to ensure it operates in all situations, including proximity unlocking and starting the vehicle.
