2024 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob
Important Notice: This vehicle does not support onboard programming for the smart key remote fob. Programming requires specialized diagnostic equipment, which can only be used by a certified automotive technician or an authorized dealer.
- Step 1: Identify whether you are replacing a lost key fob or adding a new one. Some systems may require all remotes to be programmed during the same session to ensure proper functionality.
- Step 2: Schedule an appointment with a certified automotive technician or authorized dealer who has the appropriate diagnostic tools for programming smart key fobs.
- Step 3: Bring all working key fobs with you to the appointment. Any remotes that are not present during the session may be erased from the system and will no longer function.
- Step 4: If the vehicle is drivable, it may be more cost-effective to take it to the technician’s location, as this may reduce the cost of mobile service.
- Step 5: If no working remotes are available, be ready to provide proof of ownership, such as your vehicle registration or title, before programming can proceed.
- Step 6: The technician will connect specialized diagnostic equipment to your vehicle’s system to securely program and integrate the new smart key fob.
- Step 7: After programming, the technician will test all the functions of the new key fob, including lock/unlock, remote start, and other keyless entry features, to ensure it works properly.
- Step 8: Once programming is complete, test all functions of the key fob yourself, such as proximity unlocking and starting the vehicle, to ensure everything is working correctly.
- Step 9: If additional remotes need to be programmed, repeat the process for each one within 30 seconds of completing the previous programming.
- Step 10: Once all remotes are confirmed to be working properly, finalize the process to ensure all fobs are integrated into the vehicle’s system.
