Programming Guide for 2024 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob – Celestiq
Important Notice: The 2024 Celestiq does not support onboard programming for smart key fobs. All remote fobs must be programmed using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment operated by a trained professional.
Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Confirm that the new smart key fob is designed specifically for use with the 2024 Celestiq and matches factory specifications.
- Step 2: Ensure that your vehicle’s battery is fully charged and in proper working condition to avoid interruptions during programming.
- Step 3: Collect all fobs you intend to program at the same time, as previously recognized fobs may need to be reprogrammed during the same session.
- Step 4: Schedule an appointment with a qualified automotive technician or dealership service department with access to the necessary programming tools.
- Step 5: If the vehicle is drivable, consider transporting it directly to the service provider’s location. This may be more cost-effective than requesting mobile service.
- Step 6: Bring valid documentation proving vehicle ownership, such as the title or registration, as it may be required to initiate the programming process.
- Step 7: The technician will access the vehicle’s onboard system using a diagnostic scanner connected through the OBD-II port beneath the dashboard.
- Step 8: Using the scan tool, the technician will enter programming mode and initiate pairing of the new fob with the vehicle’s immobilizer and keyless entry systems.
- Step 9: If multiple remotes are being added, each one must be programmed individually during the same session to ensure compatibility.
- Step 10: After programming, each fob will be tested to verify successful operation of remote locking, unlocking, engine start, and any custom features.
- Step 11: Once all testing is complete, the mechanical key (if applicable) should be reinserted into each remote, and spares should be stored in a safe location.
