Smart Key Remote Programming Guide – 2024 Genesis GV60

Important Note: The 2024 Genesis GV60 does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. A qualified technician must complete the programming process using specialized diagnostic equipment.

Programming Instructions:

  • Step 1: Contact a certified automotive technician or authorized service provider with experience in smart key programming and access to vehicle-compatible diagnostic tools.
  • Step 2: Confirm that the technician uses software capable of securely interfacing with your vehicle’s electronic control system for accurate key registration.
  • Step 3: If the vehicle is in working condition, consider driving it to the service location. This may reduce costs compared to scheduling mobile service.
  • Step 4: Schedule an appointment ahead of time to ensure the technician is available and properly equipped for your vehicle model.
  • Step 5: Bring all smart keys with you, as some systems require all remotes to be programmed during the same session to maintain full functionality.
  • Step 6: At the service location, the technician will connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle’s onboard port, typically located beneath the dashboard.
  • Step 7: The technician will use this interface to initiate the programming process and securely pair the new smart key with your vehicle’s system.
  • Step 8: Once programming is complete, all remote functions—such as locking, unlocking, trunk access, and push-button start—will be tested to confirm proper operation.
  • Step 9: Personally test each remote before finalizing the visit to ensure all features are functioning correctly.
  • Step 10: Store backup remotes in a secure location and consider programming an additional key for future convenience or emergencies.
