2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV – Smart Key Remote Fob Programming Instructions
Important Notice: The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV does not support manual or onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. All programming procedures must be performed by a qualified technician using factory-compatible diagnostic equipment.
Smart Key Programming Procedure:
- Step 1: Contact a certified automotive technician or authorized service provider equipped with the tools necessary for smart key system integration.
- Step 2: If the vehicle is drivable, consider visiting the technician’s location. This may help reduce service fees compared to mobile programming.
- Step 3: Once at the service center, the technician will access the vehicle’s onboard computer system through the diagnostic port, typically located below the dashboard on the driver’s side.
- Step 4: The new smart key will be electronically paired with the vehicle’s internal security system to enable all required features.
- Step 5: The technician will verify that the smart key activates all functions, including keyless entry, push-button start, and proximity locking or unlocking.
- Step 6: If programming more than one key, be sure all smart keys are available at the time of service. Some systems may delete any keys not present during the programming session.
- Step 7: After programming is complete, test all remotes to confirm they function correctly. Store backup keys securely for future use.
