Smart Key Remote Programming Instructions – 2024 Polestar 3

Important Notice: The 2024 Polestar 3 does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. All programming must be completed by a qualified technician using advanced diagnostic equipment.

Programming Instructions:

• Step 1: Contact a certified automotive technician or authorized service provider with experience in smart key systems and access to vehicle-compatible diagnostic tools.
• Step 2: Ensure that the technician uses manufacturer-approved software capable of securely interfacing with your vehicle’s electronic control module.
• Step 3: If your vehicle is in working condition, consider driving to the service provider’s location, which may reduce additional fees associated with mobile service.
• Step 4: Schedule your appointment in advance to confirm tool availability and ensure the technician is prepared for your specific vehicle.
• Step 5: Bring all current smart keys to the appointment. Some systems require all remotes to be present and reprogrammed during the same session to ensure full compatibility.
• Step 6: At the service location, the technician will connect a diagnostic interface to the vehicle’s onboard port, usually located beneath the dashboard.
• Step 7: The technician will begin the programming process using secure diagnostic software to register the new smart key with the vehicle’s onboard system.
• Step 8: Once programming is complete, the technician will verify that all key functions—including lock/unlock, remote start, and push-button ignition—are operating correctly.
