2025 Cadillac Celestiq

Programming Guide for 2025 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob – Celestiq

Important Notice: The 2025 Celestiq does not support self-programming or onboard setup for keyless entry smart fobs. All remote fobs must be programmed using specialized diagnostic tools operated by a qualified automotive technician.

Programming Procedure:

  • Step 1: Ensure the replacement smart key fob is designed for compatibility with the 2025 model and meets factory specifications.
  • Step 2: Confirm that the vehicle’s main battery is fully charged, as stable electrical power is critical for programming procedures.
  • Step 3: Bring all remote fobs that need to be programmed, including any spares, as previously paired remotes may require re-registration.
  • Step 4: Contact a technician or authorized dealer equipped with manufacturer-approved programming hardware for smart key systems.
  • Step 5: If the vehicle is driveable, transporting it to the service location is typically more cost-efficient than scheduling on-site service.
  • Step 6: Be prepared to present documentation proving vehicle ownership (e.g., title or registration), as it is typically required before programming begins.
  • Step 7: The technician will connect a diagnostic interface to the vehicle’s onboard computer using the OBD-II port, located beneath the dashboard.
  • Step 8: Through the diagnostic system, the technician will enter secure programming mode and initiate communication with the vehicle’s control module.
  • Step 9: The new fob will be paired with the vehicle’s keyless entry and ignition system. If multiple fobs are being added, each must be programmed individually.
  • Step 10: Once the programming sequence is complete, the technician will test all programmed fobs to confirm full functionality—including locking, unlocking, and remote start features.
  • Step 11: Reinsert the mechanical emergency key (if applicable) into each fob and store spare transmitters in a secure place for future use.
