Programming Guide for 2025 Smart Keyless Entry Remote Fob

Important Notice: The 2025 model does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming requires specialized diagnostic equipment, and the process must be carried out by a qualified professional with the necessary tools.

Smart Key Programming Instructions:

  • Step 1: Locate a professional service provider that specializes in programming smart key remote fobs for your vehicle. These providers typically have access to the specialized diagnostic equipment needed for the programming process.
  • Step 2: If your vehicle is still operational, consider driving it to the service provider’s location. This could save you money, as traveling to them rather than having them come to your location might be more affordable.
  • Step 3: When you arrive at the service provider’s location, they will connect their specialized computer equipment to your vehicle. This diagnostic tool will be used to program the new smart key remote fob to your vehicle’s electronic control system (ECU).
  • Step 4: The professional will initiate the programming process and ensure the new remote fob is securely paired with your vehicle’s system. The technician will also verify that all remote fob functions, such as lock/unlock and remote start, are working as expected.
  • Step 5: After successful programming and verification of the remote fob’s functionality, you will be able to use your new fob with your vehicle.

Additional Considerations:

  • Proof of Ownership: Be prepared to provide proof of ownership, such as a vehicle registration or title, to authorize the programming process.
  • Remote Limit: The vehicle can accommodate up to eight smart key remote fobs.
  • Cost Considerations: If the vehicle is drivable, consider visiting the service provider in person, as this could reduce the cost compared to requesting mobile service.
