Smart Key Remote Programming Instructions – 2025 Genesis GV60
Important Information: The 2025 Genesis GV60 does not support onboard programming for smart key remote fobs. Programming must be performed by a qualified technician using specialized diagnostic equipment.
Programming Instructions:
- Step 1: Contact a certified automotive technician or authorized service provider with expertise in smart key systems and access to vehicle-compatible diagnostic tools.
- Step 2: Confirm that the technician uses approved diagnostic software capable of interfacing securely with your vehicle’s onboard electronic systems.
- Step 3: If the vehicle is operable, consider driving it to the service provider’s location to help reduce costs associated with mobile service visits.
- Step 4: Schedule an appointment in advance to ensure that the technician has availability and the proper tools ready for your specific model.
- Step 5: Bring all existing smart keys with you. Some vehicle systems require that all remotes be programmed during the same session to retain functionality.
- Step 6: At the service location, the technician will connect a diagnostic interface to the onboard port, typically located beneath the dashboard.
- Step 7: The technician will begin the programming sequence using diagnostic tools to securely pair the new smart key with the vehicle’s system.
- Step 8: After programming, the technician will test all smart key functions—including lock/unlock, push-button start, and trunk access—to confirm proper operation.
- Step 9: Test each key fob yourself before leaving to ensure full functionality and address any issues on-site.
- Step 10: Store spare keys in a secure place and consider having an extra smart key programmed as a backup for emergencies.
